In their most recent report, Ofsted described our standards as ‘high’, and said that ‘relationships between pupils and teachers are typically strong and pupils trust teachers to help them improve their work’. Inspectors noted that ‘staff are proud to be part of the school community’ and ‘they are highly motivated because they feel valued’
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an environment where students’ behaviour is impeccable, where they treat each other and staff with real respect, have a genuine enjoyment of school and enjoy their learning. The Academy is on the road to outstanding and has a relentless drive and determination to ensure the best possible education for students in our care
We are looking to recruit a significant strategic leadership position with a vacancy for a Vice Principal for Pastoral. A Vice Principal must not only deputise for the Principal in his/her absence, but also be a driving force in the delivery of all academy targets.
If you have the leadership skills and the resilience to lead an exceptional team of teachers and support staff where CPD is promoted and leadership support is strong, then this is the post for you.

About Stockport Academy
We have an aspirational culture at the academy that encourages everyone – students and staff alike – to achieve their best. Underpinned by our values of belief, aspiration, achievement and respect, the academy has successfully been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
In their most recent report, Ofsted described our standards as ‘high’, and said that ‘relationships between pupils and teachers are typically strong and pupils trust teachers to help them improve their work’. As a part of United Learning, our academy benefits from shared resources, experiences, working practices and CPD opportunities that are second to none. We are delighted to have been named as the Group’s United Teaching centre for the North from September 2016, and we work with our partner schools to provide high-quality training for current staff and trainees. This affords further opportunities for staff to provide a vital contribution in our pursuit to deliver the highest standards of educational excellence.
We are a diverse, tolerant and welcoming academy which continues to be an oversubscribed school of choice for local families. I would encourage you to visit us yourself to experience first-hand what Stockport Academy offers its staff and students.
