Vice Principal job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join The Midland Academies Trust as Vice Principal at the Nuneaton Academy. We are seeking applications for an inspirational, dynamic and outstanding Vice Principal to build on our successes, and further enhance the work of the Nuneaton Academy and our Trust. Potential responsibilities assigned to this role will depend on the successful candidate and will be discussed at interview.
The Academy Vice Principals regularly visit each other’s schools to support and share best practice. At Middle Leadership the Trust enables all middle leaders to have shared PPA time across the 4 schools to enable them to meet, and lead their faculties collaboratively given the shared approach and curriculum.
The Trust central team oversees school development, finance, HR and estates. The Academies have shared policies, systems and processes to ensure that our collaboration creates efficiencies in practice.
We want it to be easy for our staff to help students achieve well and be prepared for a successful future. That’s why we continually review how we work to accelerate student progress whilst reducing staff workload:
• Our students have clear classroom routines so no time is wasted
• Our teachers give whole class feedback, not individualised marking
• Our middle leaders focus on student learning, not data input
• Our senior leaders manage student conduct, not our staff
• Our faculties plan and work together on shared approaches
• Our five year curriculum is highly ambitious and knowledge-led
• Our staff are valued as professional experts in their field
• Our Trust sets time for collaboration and learning from experts
• Our annual calendar of meetings and events is released before the start of the academic year
• Our five year, knowledge-rich curriculum features common examination boards across all schools
At the Midland Academies Trust, ultimately, we care for each other.
