What skills and experience we're looking for
Stourport High School is built on three values that provide the nurturing conditions for our students to thrive in. Kindness is both celebrated and nurtured amongst our pupils and staff; we show each other respect and support determination through strong pastoral and academic systems.
The post of Vice Principal is one of two in the structure, alongside the Vice Principal School Improvement and Raising Standards, reporting to the Principal. This team is responsible for the effective strategic leadership and operation of the school according to its mission and values; candidates with strong pastoral leadership experience would complement the existing team, but is not essential as training and development opportunities can be provided.
For candidates aspiring to headship, being part of Severn Academies Educational Trust enables collaboration with best practice across our schools. As part of our commitment to harnessing talent and developing people, candidates considering headship will be supported to undertake the NPQH, including leadership coaching from experienced headteachers and senior leaders across the trust, growing the next generation of brilliant school leaders.
