Welfare Manager (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead)
Responsible to : Deputy Headteacher – Inclusion, Conduct and Safeguarding
Moreton School are seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced Welfare Manager (DDSL) who is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all our students. The welfare, safety and happiness of our students is extremely important to us and we go above and beyond to ensure our children are safe and well-cared for. Moreton School gives this role the highest priority. You will work closely with the DSL and DDSL’s as well as the Heads of Year and members of the Pastoral and Inclusion Team.
The successful individual will :
> have already undertaken the professional development necessary
to be a Welfare Lead (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead),
including Child Protection Training at Level 3.

• have demonstrable experience of working effectively with vulnerable
childen and young people in education or another related area of
work
• have demonstrable knowledge of the principles involved in giving
advice and guidance to children/young people, including the place of
confidentiality
• be able to demonstrate they work effectively with the parents/carers
of children and work efficiently with a range of professionals to
promote children’s/young people’s learning or welfare.
• Will be determined, resilient and motivated to the safeguarding of our
children/young people.
