Whitchurch Primary - Cover Supervisor 13 hpw job summary
Whitchurch Primary School is a one form entry school situated on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Tavistock, on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park. It is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain.
We are seeking a part time Cover Supervisor to cover maternity leave from April 2024. The role complements the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will mean being actively involved in the planning cycle and delivering lessons to whole classes. The post holder will be expected to feedback information regarding the pupils’ achievement, progress and development to the class teacher. This would be a fantastic opportunity for those working in a school already and wanting to develop their skills further, or for those wanting to return to teaching.
The successful candidate will work under an agreed system of supervision/management to deliver learning by:
- Being actively involved in the whole planning cycle Delivering lessons to whole classes.
- Undertaking evaluation and record keeping
- Undertaking cover supervision
- Providing specialist SEN, subject, or other support
