Wrap Around Care Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated individual to supervise children attending our Warp Around Care provision before and after school.

This position is to be worked on five mornings per week, between 7.25 and 8.55, term time only, and two afternoons per week, Thursday and Friday, 15.15 and 18.00.

The Role

You will organise and lead, in collaboration with the children, a range of play of suitable activities and programmes, ensuring a safe, stimulating, creative and inspiring environment for a range of age groups.

You will be responsible for safeguarding the children during the breakfast and afterschool periods, supervising any relevant meals/snacks as required.

You will develop and maintain positive relationships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate the day-to-day caring needs of their children.

About You

You will be trustworthy, enthusiastic, full of energy, well-organised, and self-motivated. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to build a strong and appropriate rapport with children and parents/carers.

You will have patience, enthusiasm, and a sense of humour to make a positive difference. You will be able to support children in their play while maintaining their safety and following the school's behaviour guidelines.

You must also demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies.

Previous experience working with children and knowledge of safeguarding would be advantageous in this role. However, full training will be available.
