About the role

Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated Wrap Around Care Assistant. We have a large thriving Breakfast Club and After School Club and we have various shifts available Monday to Friday for Breakfast Club and / or After School Club. This is an opportunity to be part of our small, friendly team who play a key role in our school. The main purpose of the role is to look after and interact with the children during our Out of School Club. You will support the other team members to organise and deliver activities that engage and encourage children to play and build friendships. You will manage behaviour and help children to resolve conflict following our behaviour code. The successful candidate would be expected to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course).

The job requirements

To be successful for this role you will ideally have a qualification in childcare with good knowledge of child development and playwork. You will ideally have had experience of working with young children.

You will have knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the care and learning of children in an Out of School Club setting. A good understanding of Ofsted standards is also highly desirable.

You will ensure that the club provides high-quality childcare, within a positive safe and happy environment while adhering to the club’s policies.
