Wraparound Care Assistant job summary

Our Wrap Around Care provision is one of the essential services we offer our parent community. We are looking to recruit a highly committed and passionate person to join our team. As the co-ordinator, you will be responsible for organising, developing and leading the provision, ensuring that it provides high quality care for the children who attend.

You may be interested in a job share so that you are only working in the Breakfast club or After school club; this is an option for the right person. You may also like to increase your earning potential by working some additional hours in the afternoon as a teaching assistant, before you start in the after school club. This again could be considered for the right person!

This is a permanent position, starting in September 2024.

About you

The successful candidate will be someone who can:

  • Engage effectively with the children in their care
  • Greet parents and children in a welcoming manner
  • Plan, set up and engage in recreational activities and the provision of healthy food
  • Ensure children are safe and happy
  • Clear away snacks and activities leaving a tidy environment
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, be flexible and model good communication skills
  • Display high expectations of pupil behaviour
  • Work well as part of a team

Hours of work:

Monday - Friday 7:45am – 8.45am and then 3:15pm – 6.00pm (Hours are dependent on demand), term time only (38 weeks per year) for the role of Wrap Around Care assistant.

Additional hours can be discussed at interview if required
