Job summary
The Headteacher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Y2 teacher with outstanding teaching skills to cover 2 days per week (Mondays, Tuesday) to cover Maternity Leave (these days cannot be changed).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team with teaching and support staff are essential. The successful candidates will have high expectations of pupil progress and will provide challenging, high quality and creative learning opportunities for all children.

About Birley Primary Academy
Birley Primary Academy joined L.E.A.D Academy Trust in February 2017 together with four other schools in the Birley family. This is an exciting time to join our Academy and contribute to a successful learning environment for our children.
We are a large primary school in south east Sheffield, admitting children from 3 to 11 years with Foundation Stage 1 (nursery) provision for 104 children. Our admissions number is 90 children across all other year groups. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in 2019 and was judged to be good.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure Form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
