Vacancy for a Year 1 teacher (M1 – M4)
A full-time, permanent vacancy (although job share considered)
From September 2021, we are looking for an effective and enthusiastic Year 1 teacher who will be able to complement our dedicated hardworking team of staff.
Duxford C of E Community Primary School is a friendly village school set in a rural village about 8 miles south of Cambridge. The school has a warm, welcoming, productive atmosphere where every child is valued.
Following a fire at the school in July 2020, Reception and Key Stage 1 classes are currently housed in well equipped mobiles. From September 2022, these classes will move into brand new classrooms.
We are looking for someone who:
* is an excellent classroom teacher with experience of teaching Year 1
* believes in striving for the very best in their pupils - aiming high!
* has knowledge of the national curriculum, and understanding of EYFS, and is competent in planning to meet Y1 children’s needs
* has knowledge of SEND and is able to differentiate to achieve successful outcomes
* will keep children at the heart of Teaching and Learning
* believes in a restorative approach to encourage good behaviour
* has a strong commitment towards the Christian Ethos, and values of our school
* is caring, enthusiastic, dedicated and well-organised
* is an excellent communicator and team player
