Year 1 Teacher Maternity cover job summary
The governors of Penketh South are looking to appoint a talented class teacher to join our existing team at Penketh South to cover a maternity leave in Year 1. We welcome applications from newly /recently qualified teachers as well as those who are more experienced.
We are looking for a teacher who has:
- A genuine love of children
- A proven record of outstanding teaching in Key Stage 1, including an understanding of early reading and mathematics
- High expectations for every child
- The skills and subject knowledge necessary to ensure all children make excellent progress in all areas of the curriculum, including the effective use of assessment information
- A passion and enthusiasm for making learning fun yet challenging as well as engaging and inclusive
- A commitment to working in true partnership with colleagues, parents and the wider community and the communication skills to be able to do this effectively
- A positive attitude and a sense of humour.
- A willingness to contribute fully to the life of the school, including subject leadership either individually or within a team, depending on your experience.
