Year 1 Teaching Assistant and SEN support job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will work mostly in the Year 1 classroom as the class teaching assistant and with some SEN Support.

The post is fixed term. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some of the following:

Ability to work on your own and to cooperate as a team player

Have a flexible/ 'do what it takes' approach to work

An ability to communicate effectively and appropriately

Be able to encourage children

Be calm and patient

Have good listening skills

Set a good example to pupils through their presentation, personal and professional conduct

Evidence of working with children

The role will be Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 3:10pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak (30 hours 50mins a week).

The salary is based on 38 weeks a year plus 1 week professional development. There is the possibility of further paid club work both before and after school.
