Year 2/3 class teacher Part-Time 0.6 & Maths TLR (Pro-rata) job summary
Four Acres Academy requires a Teacher for a mixed Year 2/Year 3 class.
At Four Acres Academy we have exceptionally skilled and dedicated staff who make learning fun and motivating. In December 2017 we had a successful Section 8 Ofsted Inspection where we maintained our good grade in all areas.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated practitioner who is committed to high standards for all pupils in both learning and behaviour to join our successful school. You will be within a team of three other teachers of parallel classes, with aligned PPA time.
The successful candidate will head our maths team, with responsibility for maths standards across the school.
Preferred working hours are Mon, Tues & Wed.
Our Academy is a 1.5 form entry with 347 pupils aged 3-11, including a Nursery provision and has a Children's Centre attached with approximately 100 children. Staff work in Key Stage group teams to collaboratively plan and deliver high quality lessons. All teachers are supported by teaching assistants. We believe that support staff play a critical role in securing outstanding progress in pupils learning. In February 2015 Four Acres became an Academy as the founder member of Little Acorn Trust. We are fellowship members of the Pickwick Learning Teaching Schools Alliance and work collaboratively with other schools to develop mutual supportive networks that benefit children and staff development. NQT's are welcome to apply - excellent development opportunities and support with NQT year is provided. All of our Key Stage Leaders including our Deputy Head were NQT's with us.
Visits to the Academy are welcome. Please contact the Academy office to make an appointment and for an application pack.
