Our Opportunity

Lythe Church of England VC Primary School is looking to appoint a wonderful teacher to join our team, could this be you?

As a smaller village school, you will have the opportunity to work closely with pupils, getting to know them well; guiding and encouraging them to be the best they can be.

This opportunity is ideal for teachers who are looking to experience the rewards and challenges of a small, rural school and enjoy taking part in a wonderful array of extracurricular activities.

You will:

  • Have a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and child development
  • Be able to adapt to changing needs
  • Be a strong communicator, someone who is able to plan, organise and coordinate and who can inspire, support and develop the talents of pupils and colleagues to achieve the highest standards.
  • Be ambitious – ready to absorb all of the new skills, lessons and experiences this role will provide you with.

What the school offers its staff

  • Tailored support from our Headteacher, your colleagues in school and from professional networking with the schools in our Yorkshire Coast Education Partnership.
  • All of our teachers are members of the Chartered Institute of Teaching – we are ready to help boost your career development!
  • A warm, happy school where we value our community ethos and have a philosophy of treating each other with kindness and respect.
  • Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children who thrive in a safe, caring and inspiring environment.
  • The opportunity to work in a unique area, with easy access to moorland, forest and beach, to help deliver amazing learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.
