St John's is a recently expanded three-form entry junior school within the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) group of schools. The school is known for its caring family culture. Visitors often comment on the welcoming family feel of St. John’s and the excellent attitude, knowledge and pride the children have in their school.
We value our school’s long history, part of which is celebrated in memory of former pupil, Malcom Lugard Craigie, and his ‘honourable and unselfish conduct’ toward others – something we all aim for at St. John’s. Our main school value is to ‘Treat others as you wish to be treated’, this is firmly rooted in the Christian teachings of ‘Love thy Neighbour’ and the values of the Church of England. It is our mission to build a social and moral school society based on the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faith and beliefs and for those of no faith. We believe we provide our children with an excellent start to life; giving them the skills and confidence to flourish both now and in the future.
