Job/Person Summary
Due to staff promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a Year 3 teacher to join our successful, hard-working and friendly team.
Given the timing of this advertisement, we are considering a temporary post for the Spring & Summer Terms 2021. However, this position could be permanent for the right candidate.
Shipton Bellinger Primary School is a ‘good’ school in a beautiful part of the country on the Wilts / Hampshire border – popular with parents and the wider community. We are a single form entry school with delightful children who are polite and enthusiastic about their learning. We are looking for a Year 3 teacher with at least 1 year of appropriate experience (i.e. not an NQT) who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of our children. You will be teaching a small class (25) of wonderful pupils, supported by 2 experienced Teaching Assistants.
We set high standards for ourselves and for our children and work in close partnership with our parents to make the schooling of our children an excellent and enjoyable experience. Shipton Bellinger Primary is a rural school situated in the heart of the village of Shipton Bellinger, on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. We are very close to main trunk roads on the junction of the A338 and the A303. This makes us easily accessible from many local towns and cities, including Andover, Salisbury, Winchester and Hungerford. Two miles north is the garrison town of Tidworth. Our location gives us some unique features including a mixture of military and civilian families. We are a one-form entry school with 7 classes and currently 193 pupils on roll.
