Year 4 Class Teacher job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join our strong staff team. We are a two-form entry school, therefore you will be working as part of the year group team. You will be able to plan sequences of lessons that develop the children’s foundations in learning through an engaging knowledge rich curriculum. You will have a calm and friendly manner with high expectations of the children.
Tollgate is committed to working with our families and the local community to develop the children’s academic and social skills. We offer a warm and welcoming environment with a dedicated staff team who are supportive of one another. There is a clear vision for school development to improve outcomes for all pupils.
Tollgate was graded ‘good’ at its last Ofsted inspection. Tollgate is part of the Unity Schools Partnership, which brings opportunities to work with colleagues from across the wider Trust and CPD opportunities.

Tollgate Primary School is in the beautiful Suffolk market town of Bury St Edmunds. We are fortunate to be situated in pleasant, spacious grounds which has real tangible benefits for our children and staff.
Our Nursery provision is for three to four year olds and children enter our Reception class at four years old. Our pupils are drawn from the immediately surrounding areas of Bury St Edmunds and neighbouring villages.
