We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities;
  • Is aware of current initiatives in the KS2 phase;
  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in KS2 and across the school;
  • Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
  • A desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.

Great Wishford Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Class Teacher for its thriving village school, with effect from September 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher who is keen to support a school passionate about helping all of its pupils to reach their full potential.

We are a caring and happy single form entry school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the picturesque village of Great Wishford, Wiltshire, we have been open for over 300 years and, in that time, have built strong relationships with the local community and Great Wishford Church. Our strong Christian ethos underpins our teaching and learning and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment where children are challenged and supported. We focus on each child’s unique potential and help them develop the resilience to keep trying, the confidence to believe they can reach their goals and have pride in themselves for who they are.
