Year 5/6 Class Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Class Teacher to join the team in our friendly and successful school from September 2022. The post is based in our Year 5/6 class, at The Erme Primary School and is to cover the Secondment of the current Class Teacher, initially for one year.
The school is part of the Moorsway Federation and has 104 children on roll.
You will have high expectations for children's learning and achievement and be passionate about education. Excellent communication and team working skills and knowledge and experience across the primary curriculum is required.

- Be able to plan, teach and assess children’s learning, appropriate to their age and ability
- Have excellent behaviour/classroom management skills
- Lead a subject area within school

The Erme Primary School is a small Primary School located in the town of Ivybridge in South Devon, alongside the banks of the River Erme.
There are currently 104 children on roll with room to grow and we are proud of our history and success.
We secured a Good Ofsted report in January 2022 that our staff and children are rightly very proud of!
The school is part of the wider Moorsway Federation and we have close links with our sister schools, sharing curriculum, leadership and expertise.
