What skills and experience we're looking for

Year 5/6 Class Teacher with KS2 Phase Lead

We are seeking an outstanding Year 5/6 Class Teacher who can also lead across Key Stage 2 (2 classes) with enthusiasm and a high level of commitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative educator to make a significant impact on the lives of our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, enriching, and inclusive classroom practice for Year 5/6 pupils
  • Lead and inspire the KS2 teaching team, driving continuous improvement
  • Maintain high expectations for children's achievement, behaviour, and personal development
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning
  • Inspire and challenge pupils, helping them reach their full potential

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience as a highly effective Key Stage 2 teacher
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning for all
  • Demonstrate secure understanding of SEND needs.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Passion for outdoor learning and environmental education
  • Experience in leading whole-school initiatives or projects
  • Innovative teaching methods and a creative approach to the curriculum
  • Middle leader qualification.
