What skills and experience we're looking for
The St John Paul II Multi Academy is a highly successful Catholic Multi Academy encompassing seven Primary Schools and two Secondary Schools. Our schools are based in Sutton Coldfield, Erdington and Aston.
The ethos of St John Paul II Multi Academy is Catholic and was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families.
As a Catholic multi academy, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. As a Catholic multi academy, Catholic doctrine and practice permeate every aspect of every one of our school’s activities. It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education be fully supported by all staff within the multi academy. We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our supportive, creative and dynamic team as Class Teacher - English Lead
We are looking for a teacher who:
Is a practising Catholic or someone who will strongly support the Catholic ethos of the school
Has a passion to teach and a love of learning
Has a drive to be outstanding and have high expectations for all pupils
Challenges and motivates all pupils to raise achievement
Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum with specific knowledge of the English Curriculum.
Is a team player and excellent communicator, with good organisational, written, numeracy and interpersonal skills
Enables children to learn through a creative delivery of the curriculum
Will become fully involved in the wider life of the school

The successful applicant will be part of the Senior Leadership Team at Sacred Heart with responsibility for the leadership and development of the English Curriculum across the school. We will offer all relevant training and support.
