What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching Qualification • Qualified Teacher Teaching and learning • Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
• Proven high quality class teaching
• Excellent classroom behaviour management
• A clear understanding of the needs of Key Stage 2 children.
• An innovative and creative approach to teaching and learning.
• Experience of working with children with SEND • Ability to support parent/carers to improve outcomes for their children • A proven record of raising achievement • Confident to use and teach Computing • Knowledge of assessment, pupil tracking and target setting Subject Leadership • Experience of successful coordination of a curriculum subject or project/task that has had a whole school impact (not if an ECT) Professional Attributes • Evaluative and reflective • Ability to learn from others in the team and to provide support as necessary. • Ability to be flexible • Experience of effective working with Governors (e.g. as Teacher Governor) • Willingness to lead an area of whole school development Personal Skills • Sense of humour • Excellent interpersonal skills • Innovative, problem solver • A positive ‘can do’ approach • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching • Warm and approachable to parents • Ability to bring own personal interests to our community
