Following our Good Ofsted (November 2021), we are looking for an experienced, inspirational Year 6 teacher to join our committed and supportive team. The post is for one year to cover maternity leave, starting in January 2023. This successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, capable of motivating and inspiring all children to reach their full potential. In addition, they will provide strong pastoral support and be committed to an inclusive classroom ethos, building trusting relationships with the children and ensuring that the school is a place where the children want to be.
The successful applicant will need to evidence:
- Significant academic and pastoral experience as a Year 6 Class Teacher
- Successful planning and preparation for SATs and secondary school transition
- High expectations which ensure that provision and practice develop each child’s full potential
- Passion for providing a broad and inclusive curriculum, inspiring all children with a lifelong enthusiasm for learning
- Solid work ethic and the ability to work as part of a committed team, supporting, motivating and inspiring colleagues
- Clear understanding of assessment of attainment and progress, coupled with consistently strong teaching leading to strong progress for all pupils
- Strong commitment to the school’s values and moral purpose, maintaining a visible and respected presence across and beyond the school community
