What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Year 6 teacher with excellent subject knowledge and a successful track record to join Central Walker Church of England Primary School from September 2024.

You will have experience of creating a positive, purposeful and safe learning environment where learners can thrive, and you will work alongside an existing Year 6 teacher for 3 days per week.

We are looking for a colleague who has:

  • Knowledge and understanding of primary subject and curriculum areas, with experience teaching in upper KS2, and Year 6 in particular.
  • A successful track record as a teacher that demonstrates high quality teaching and learning with a positive impact on pupil outcomes.
  • Experience of designing and teaching effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, colleagues and parents/carers and is passionate about making a difference.

This post is part time, fixed term to 31st August 2025 and 3 days per week (Wednesday - Friday).
