Year 7 Pastoral and Transition Lead (Based at Enfield Town Campus) job summary

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and professional Year 7 Pastoral and Transition Lead who will work to support Year 7 students and raise achievement by maintaining high standards of attendance and engagement. If successful, you will have a real opportunity to improve the life chances of our young people.

The successful candidate will be more than an administrator; you will be the lynchpin in our Key Stage 3 Pastoral Team. You will be the key point of contact for students, staff, outside agencies and is the person that Year 7 students will look to for support and guidance.

We are looking to appoint someone, to cover this Maternity leave, who is ambitious for our students and who shares our commitment to ensuring that each student experiences a rich and positive transition to secondary school. The transition programme in place will fully prepare them for the challenges that they will face as they embark on their secondary school learning journey.

Experience of working in a school or educational environment will be valuable and it will also be an advantage to be familiar with the use of Arbor (schools MIS). However, above all we are looking for someone who: shows attention to detail; is a team player; is flexible, resilient and has a ‘can do’ approach to their work; who can form strong relationships with young people and their families. Your attitude, potential and willingness to learn are at least as important as your prior experience.

What we can offer you:

Experienced and dedicated colleagues who will support and welcome you

The opportunity to work with truly wonderful students

A full induction programme

A buddy scheme and ongoing CPD both in house and externally

A forward looking and over-subscribed school

Free car parking

Paid self-focus day
