The Eastbourne Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year Group Manager to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and compassionate individual with a strong background in child safeguarding and pastoral care to make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
The successful candidate will:
- Be experienced at building relationships with children and their families.
- Be a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Have excellent knowledge of child protection/safeguarding procedures
- Have the ability work with a range of people/agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
As our Year Group Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for providing exceptional pastoral care and academic support to students within a designated year group.
- Monitor and communicate student behaviour and attendance for a specific year group.
- Work with individual students and their families to improve attendance and behaviour.
- Assist the designated safeguarding lead with child protection across the academy.
- Participate in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings.
- Contribute to child assessments and liaise with relevant agencies like the local authority, children's services, and police.
