What skills and experience we're looking for

St Paul’s Way Secondary School is seeking to appoint an exceptionally well-qualified and talented Year Team Leader.

The main purpose of this role is:

  • To provide overall leadership and strategic direction for an allocated cohort
  • To track attendance and punctuality across the year group providing students & parents support where needed
  • To support the implementation of the school’s centralised behaviour policy to secure outstanding behaviour for learning including stepped consequences and positive recognition
  • To support student wellbeing across the cohort
  • To plan early intervention to ensure all students in the year group make outstanding progress
  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure students receive effective support
  • To build positive and effective relationships with parents
  • Line management of a Deputy Head of Year and leading a tutor team
