What skills and experience we're looking for
Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust (YEAT) is a Primary MuIti Academy Trust established in 2017. There are currently 6 academy schools in the YEAT family of schools. Our schools are located in the Whitby and surrounding rural and coastal areas
We are currently expanding our Clerking Service and are looking to recruit a Minute Clerk to support our Local School Improvement Boards (SIBs) across the Trust.
Your main role would be taking notes of the key points and decisions at the meeting and potentially advise on Governance procedures, then at home to produce minutes of the meeting in the agreed format.
Minutes are then submitted to the Company Secretary within the agreed timescale of 7 working days.
A SIB usually meets a minimum of six times a year (in term time). You will mainly work evenings, with occasional meetings during the day. You could work for more than one Academy to increase your earnings.
Requirements for this job:
- Ability to take accurate notes of meetings and produce minutes.
- Good communication and networking skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy and good time keeping.
- Relevant experience working with Governor Boards and knowledge or interest in Academy Governance is an advantage. Training and on-going support will be provided.
