What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Lead and develop the Economics and Business curriculum across KS4 and KS5
  • Drive excellent teaching and learning within the department and across the school
  • Coach, mentor and support colleagues, including ECTs and new staff
  • Use data effectively to raise attainment and close gaps
  • Monitor and improve classroom practice through observation and professional dialogue
  • Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities
  • QTS and a degree in Economics or Business (or related subject)
  • A proven record of excellent classroom practice
  • Experience of departmental leadership
  • Strong curriculum and assessment knowledge
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
  • Willingness to support the school’s Catholic ethos (all faiths welcome)
