What the school offers its staff
• Children, who are well behaved, motivated to learn and who enjoy school. In our Section 48 inspection, Inspectors said ‘Pupils’ behaviour reflects how they embrace the school’s mission statement and try to behave in a Christ-like way. Behaviour throughout the school is of a very high standard. Pupils are extremely kind, polite and caring.’
• Professional and dedicated staff, supportive parents and Governors.
• A school that works hard to support a work life balance. Where teachers have the option to take PPA at home; reduced marking and feedback; dedicated time for data input; spiritual development through whole school and staff retreats; continued professional development.
• A strong, hardworking and dedicated staff team. In our OFSTED Inspection, Inspectors noted ‘St Chad’s Catholic Primary is a school where all pupils are welcomed with open arms. Relationships between staff and pupils are highly positive. Staff are kind. Pupils are well cared for and nurtured. Pupils feel safe and happy here.’
• Being part of the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy. A genuinely exciting partnership of schools, that thrive together as a group through training and shared expertise.

St Chad’s is a Catholic school, where we share our life in Jesus Christ and where He is at the centre of all that we are and all that we do. We take pride in the fact that we are members of the St Theresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy, which we joined in September 2021. We are a single form entry school situated in Newtown, near Birmingham City Centre and take children from the ages of 4 – 11 years. We are a truly an international school with over 20 languages spoken by our children and staff. Such as: Tigrinya, Amharic, French, Polish and Lingala to name but a few. We are extremely lucky to have a large amount of green space around the school which helps enhance our children’s learning.
We are privileged to belong to the Cathedral Parish of St Chad’s, where we have very strong links and work closely with our Parish Priest, Monsignor Tim to ensure that our children receive an outstanding Catholic Education. In a caring, Catholic atmosphere, we encourage our children to develop and mature in the light of the Gospel values with a Christian concern for others.
We are committed to working closely with our families and they are actively encouraged to be involved in their child’s education and we foster a close co-operation between home and school as we value and build on the experience and knowledge which pupils bring from their home lives.
We have the highest expectations of our children achieving their best in a safe, secure and happy environment. We expect outstanding behaviour, hard work and respect for everyone through a culture of positivity.
