1:1 SEND Learning Support/Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for an experienced 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team to work 1:1 (with guidance from EYFS teacher and SENDCo) and support a child in the EYFS to engage in activities and interventions as outlined in their EHCP to enable them to have a happy and positive experience in school. The position will initially be for the Autumn term 2024 and Spring term 2025 on a Fixed Term contract until 21st April 2025 with a view to extend into the Summer term.
You should be:
- Highly organised and able to use your own initiative
- Able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, parents and pupils
- Able to work calmly under pressure
- Able to show a ‘can-do’ attitude and seek solutions to problems
- Able to work flexibly and creatively
- Is happy and co-operative, able to work on own initiative
- A strong team player
- Experienced in a similar role
