1:1 Small Group Tutor job summary
We are seeking to employ a 1:1, small group tutor to help support a small number of pupils who struggle to engage in whole class activities due to low confidence and /or SEND needs. We are looking for a capable, experienced and confident teacher/tutor who can adapt school learning to ensure that pupils do not fall behind their peers whilst also helping develop confidence and self esteem. Are long term goal is to have pupils who are more confident in approaching whole class teaching ready for the next stage of learning. The successful candidate will need a toolkit of strategies at hand to help develop each child as an individual, recognising and meeting their needs so they have the opportunity to thrive .
We are looking for a teacher who truly believes that they can help remove the barriers to success for our children and have a relentless drive to support all learners and can be flexible in the hours needed.
Research underpins much of our work and we work collaboratively at school and Trust level to ensure all of our pupils have access to the best opportunities and teaching we can give.

Due to the nature of this post we do not think it is suitable for ECT’s unless you have experience of teaching whole classes prior to qualifying.
