Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at Bridge Farm Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

Bridge Farm Primary School, located in Whitchurch, Bristol, is a vibrant and inclusive school community committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a flexible and dedicated professional to join our team to support a pupil with SEMH who has an EHCP.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Providing tailored support for a pupil with SEMH, both in and out of the classroom.

Supporting learning activities, transitions, and playtimes.

Supporting the class teacher with inclusive classroom strategies.

Helping to ensure a safe, caring, and supportive environment for learning.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for a compassionate and flexible Teaching Assistant who:

Has relevant experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting.

Experience and Knowledge:

Understands the KS1 and KS2 curriculum and how to support pupils with SEMH.

Has knowledge and experience of working with children who have communication and interaction difficulties.

Has a variety of communication strategies and a positive, empathetic approach.

Brings patience, humour, adaptability, and a team mindset.

Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.

Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
