What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an experienced 1:1 teaching assistant to join our friendly, supportive team. The successful candidate is expected to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND, helping them access learning, feel safe and supported, and participate in school life. The role involves working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo to implement strategies that meet the pupil’s individual needs.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a good standard of education including English & Maths (GCSE/Level 2)
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Has experience of working within a classroom setting and with Primary aged pupils
• Has excellent behaviour management skills
• Can work on their own initiative and also work well as part of a team • Is an excellent role model
