"Cottingham C of E Primary is a happy and caring school with a strong sense of community. As one pupil stated 'There is always something different or fun happening here" - OFSTED 2024
At Cottingham CofE Primary School, our Christian values, chosen by our school community, run through the whole school and impact upon our family life, both in and out of the classroom. We aim to ‘Live our Cottingham CofE Values Each Day.’ Our values are evident within our curriculum and throughout the school and we place our pupils at the heart of everything we do. We are very proud of the children, staff and the whole school community and its achievements.
Inspired by our strong moral values, children are given every opportunity to achieve their potential and feel proud of themselves in a caring Christian environment. We recognise the importance of statutory testing and academic achievement, and our vision is to offer outstanding education and care, through quality and engaging teaching and learning. However, we are proud to offer a range of extracurricular activities, to supplement children’s learning, and support their physical, mental, and emotional growth, so learning is immersive and all experiences ‘come alive’ in a range of contexts.
Our success is powered by our fantastic school community. We are committed to working collaboratively, to establish a safe, happy, and exciting learning environment, so all children leave school as inquisitive learners with happy positive memories, ready for the journey ahead. We are therefore excited to offer a wonderful opportunity to join our passionate, knowledgeable and welcoming staffing team, to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils and our community. The ideal candidate would be a caring and experienced professional, who is eager to provide learning and pastoral care for our children, working 1:1 with those with individual needs.
Cottingham Primary is a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust and has been since 2016. We are a family of 36 schools across the Peterborough Diocese, and these strong links make special contribution to our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and learning. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing finances and other central services for the academies within the Trust.
"Staff and pupils consistently live out the school's values. Relationships are positive and nurturing. Pupils are respectful to each other and staff. They are polite and well mannered" - OFSTED 2024
