1:1 Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary

The Governors of this happy and successful school are looking to appoint an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant.

The role will involve:
• supporting the child to learn new vocabulary
• breaking down instructions and tasks into smaller, more manageable steps
• helping the child to listen and checking they have understood
• supporting the child to develop their fine motor skills
• supporting the child to develop their confidence
• supporting the child to develop their speech and language skills

The successful candidate will:
•have a genuine interest and the energy and commitment to work 1:1 with children with
additional needs.
•be suitably well qualified.
•committed to their own professional development.
•have good knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
•have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
•have the ability to work successfully in a team.
•be able to work on their own initiative.
•have excellent communication skills
