Are you passionate about helping every child reach their full potential and thrive? Roundwood Primary are looking for someone to join their school as a 1:1 teaching assistant. We are looking for someone who can work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8.25am-3pm).

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team in Key Stage 1, with your role providing support to a child with autism throughout the school day. You would be delivering a personalised timetable in a calm and caring way, while working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual plans. You would need to support the student's learning, allowing for flexibility throughout the school day while ensuring their well-being.

Key responsibilities include managing social, emotional and behaviour needs with patience and empathy, maintaining records of the student's progress while working as part of a team and liaising with parents.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, hardworking and have an approachable and nurturing personality. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference to the child's learning.

You will support the planning, assessment, and day to day activities, adapting and creating creative ways of learning and relevant resources as needed. You will be able to work effectively on your own initiative as well as part of our team.

You will need excellent communication skills and will be able to work closely with parents, the class teacher, the SENDCo, the SEN team and external support.

The contract is fixed term as it is linked to funding while the child attends Roundwood Primary.
