Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Teaching Assistant 1:1 at St Johns C of E Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

As Teaching Assistant 1:1 you will be responsible forsupporting pupils in the classroom which may at times involve 1:1 support and at playtimes. We would want to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of the children.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for a flexible and dedicated Teaching Assistant who possesses:

  • A variety of communication skills to respond to the needs of the children.
  • Empathy and understanding children's individual learning abilities.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children who have ASD.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children who have communication and interaction difficulties.
  • An understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2
  • Patience and a good sense of humour
  • Flexibility
  • Willing to go the extra mile for the children in their care.
  • Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
