1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with an ECHP job summary

Term time only plus 5 inset days

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP, between 08:35 and 11.35 every morning.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (level 2) who, under the instruction & guidance of our wonderful teaching team, can undertake work, to support a child with an EHCP. The child`s needs are around cognition and learning and dyslexia. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is enthusiastic about making a difference.

Responsibilities include:

Attending to the pupils’ personal needs, and implementing related personal programmes, including social, emotional and mental health needs

Undertaking programmes linked to local and national learning strategies to support pupils to achieve learning goals, recording achievement & progress and feeding back to the teacher

Supervising and providing particular support for a named pupil, ensuring access to learning and learning within a small group within the classroom

Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher

Creating and maintaining a purposeful and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans
