Salary: NJC Grade D2 Point 4 – 11 £18,357 - £20,512 per annum (£24,404 - £27,269 FTE)

Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 Weeks (Term Time plus 5 days), Permanent

Location: Twydall Primary School

Required: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a permanent 1-1/Teaching Assistant to support the Class Teacher at Twydall Primary School across the Key Stages from Foundation Stage to Year 6. This may involve working with a class or supporting a child on a more intensive basis, providing 1-1 support. You may also be required to deliver intervention programmes under the direction of the Inclusion Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide teaching support in small groups and where necessary work with individual pupils to the highest standards
  • Assist the implementation of individual programmes for pupils and help monitor their progress
  • Undertake specific duties identified by the class teacher
  • Maintain a positive, supportive attitude within a team

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience of working with children with SEN including physical difficulties would be advantageous
  • Understanding of children with different behavioural needs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Possess a desire to help all children achieve their best
  • Have a caring nature and a deep regard for children
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills
