1-2-1 KS2 Learning Support Assistant job summary

Stifford Clays Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis within our friendly and supportive KS2 team. This is a part-time, fixed term position until July 2027 and is linked to 2 x EHCP Children. The hours will be Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3:15pm.

The successful applicant will be:

  • calm, flexible, professional and caring
  • committed to achievement for all
  • an effective communicator with pupils and staff
  • competent in the use of ICT
  • able to contribute to a stimulating, purposeful learning environment.
  • have experience of working with children with additional needs

We are a community-focused school for 2 to 11 year olds, located centrally in the Stifford Clays ward of Thurrock. The original infant and junior schools were built in 1954 and were one form of entry. The school has grown hugely to accommodate 90 children in each year group. We have a resource base provision for children with autism.
