1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant with Midday Assistant duties job summary

Chadwell St Mary’s Primary School is a happy and positive school looking to appoint an effective, enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant with an additional Midday Assistant role to support the delivery of high quality learning experiences.

You will:

  • be experienced in working with primary aged pupils.
  • be confident to deliver small group interventions
  • have the ability to create positive learning environments
  • have high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour
  • have evidence of ability to enthuse and motivate pupils
  • have a strong and caring personality and is calm, patient and firm
  • have good organisation and communication skills
  • will be committed to providing a ‘child-centred nurturing’ ethos, collaborative team-work and flexible working

This role is 24 hours, 35 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 8:40am - 3:15pm and is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025, Term time only.

This role also includes a permanent Midday Assistant role of 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm - 1pm with an additional salary of Grade A £2,665 - £2,848 p.a. Term time plus inset days.
