Job summary
Setting: Ethelred Nursery School
Posts: 1 x Early Years Teacher / SENCO MPS/UPS TLR 2b
Contract: Permanent starting September 2021
Ethelred, rated Outstanding since 2004, is a popular, inclusive local school in the Kennington area serving a richly diverse community. We moved into our lovely new building in September 2018 and over the past two years have expanded our provision for two year-old children. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher with a passion for early years and an ability to work with an established team to create a child-centred, challenging and happy learning environment for all children. We are also looking for someone who is currently a SENCO with early years experience. For the right candidate there may be an opportunity for an additional payment with additional responsibility, along with a possible opportunity for future progression within the federation. We are five successful Lambeth Nursery Schools with Children’s Centres; you will join a supportive team who work closely to provide excellent early years education and support young children and their families.
Are you:
A highly committed, enthusiastic, reflective and creative practitioner, able to inspire learning through exciting, high quality education and care for all young children.
Able to effectively support young children and their families from a diverse ethnic and social background.
Keen to develop your knowledge and practice.
A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with both school and children’s centre practitioners.
Looking for a transition into a leadership role.
Experience:
Working in a nursery or primary school/early years setting delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
As a SENCO with some early years experience
Experience and/or knowledge of working with 2 year olds
