Millbay Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Secondary History Teacher to join the School from September 2022.

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

About the role
We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated person to monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a history teacher, facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

To contribute to raising standards of student attainment; sharing and supporting the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

About the successful candidate
This role involves understanding the needs of the students and adopting/developing an appropriate curriculum in your subject area of history. You will need to be able to establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for students, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly.

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 14 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire. We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles.
