Millbay Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join the team as soon as possible.
Post: Cover Supervisor
Location: Millbay Academy, 22 Millbay Road, Plymouth, PL1 3EG
FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade E, Point 15-20, £27,803 rising to a maximum of £30,296 per annum pro rata
Actual Annual Salary Range: £21,733 rising to a maximum of £23,681 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, part time; term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday. For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, job share, compressed hours, or staggered hours. About the role
We are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to join our team who will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervisors.
Your duties will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individual groups or classes
- Monitoring and assessing pupils
- Recording and reporting on pupil’s achievements, progress and development
- Covering PE and Sports lessons
- Supporting the preparation for vocational lessons
About the successful candidate
You will need:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant standard or equivalent qualification or experience
- NVQ Level 2 in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
- Flexibility to work in different subject departments within the school
- Have strong IT skills to support in the use of ICT in learning activities
- Eager to learn and are instinctively enthusiastic with colleagues and students
