Pilgrim Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our School in September.

Post: Breakfast Club Assistant

Location: Pilgrim Primary Academy, Oxford Street, Stonehouse, Plymouth PL1 5BQ

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade A Point 2 - £22,366 per annum pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent, part time, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:50am - 8:50am

About the Role

We are looking for someone to work each morning in our Breakfast Club, alongside our existing Breakfast Club staff member. This role will predominantly be responsible for:

  • Booking pupils into the club and maintaining the attendance register
  • Serving breakfast foods for the children (and clearing down too)
  • Supervision in the hall and making sure that the children are safe at all times (including maintaining awareness of safeguarding duties)
  • Ensuring behaviour expectations followed by all
  • Leading play activities
  • Clearing and collapsing tables
  • Ensuring that children are safely delivered to their year group for the start of the school day

About the Successful Candidate

The person appointed to this role would ideally hold a Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 - or be willing to undertake this training in preparation for the role. You should explain how your skills and experience support your application.
