Stuart Road Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join the School in September 2024.
Post: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Stuart Road Primary Academy, Palmerston Street, Stoke, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 5LL
FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade C, Point 5 - 7, £23,500.00 - £24,294.00 per annum, pro-rata for part-time
Actual Annual Salary Range: £11,304 - £11,686 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed-term until 22nd July 2025, part time, term time only (39 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm
About the role
The successful candidate will support a named SEND child across the school delivering adapted and adopted curriculum to ensure successful learning, matched to the pupils’ need.

The SEND Teaching Assistant will have an understanding and interest in Special Needs Education, have a calm and positive approach, can use own initiative and be able to deliver support independently, whilst also working as part of the Stuart Road teaching team.

We are a single form entry school based in a wonderful Victorian building situated in the Stoke area of the city. We link with our partner schools to develop strong and exciting learning opportunities based around John Hattie’s Visible Learning. We have a strong focus on a community approach to everything we do.
