Millbay Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to specialise in Behaviour and Attitudes from the Autumn term 2024.
Post: Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour and Attitudes)
Location: Millbay Academy, 22 Millbay Road, Stonehouse, Plymouth, PL1 3EG
Salary Range: £50,807 to £56,082 per annum (L4 to L8)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role
The Assistant Headteacher, under the direction of the Headteacher, will take a role in:
- Formulating the aims and objectives of the academy
- Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives
- Managing staff and resources to that end
- Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the academy's aim and objectives.
The Assistant Headteacher will also have a timetabled teaching commitment. This will be agreed with the successful candidate and will comply with the teachers' standards and best practice within the sector.

You will have knowledge and experience of strategies to support students with social, emotional and behavioural challenges and have successful leadership and management experience in school. You will have had involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning and to contributing to staff development.

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.
