Millbay Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Food Technology to join the School in September 2025.
Post: Teacher of Food Technology - Secondary
Location: Millbay Academy,22 Millbay Road, Millbay, Plymouth PL1 3EG
FTE Salary Range: MPS 1 to UPS 3, £31,650 - £49,084 per annum, pro-rata
Actual Annual Salary Range: £18,990 - £29,450 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, part-time
Contract Hours: 19.5 hours per week.

We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated person to monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Food Technology Teacher, facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
You will contribute to raising standards of student attainment; sharing and supporting the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
About the successful candidate
This role involves understanding the needs of the students and adopting/developing an appropriate curriculum in your subject area. You will need to be able to establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for students, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly.

About the Trust
