Thomas Hall School,Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Subject Lead for Maths to join the School in January.

FTE Salary Range: MPS 1 - UPS 3, £32,916 - £51,047 per annum plus a TLR2b £5,366
Contract Type: Permanent, full time
Contract Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday
About the role:
- To be responsible for the leadership and management of the Secondary Maths department, providing a vision and sense of purpose
- To play a full role in the development of teaching and learning within the Maths department
- To be an exemplary role model in the delivery of Maths teaching and to possess teaching skills which lead to excellent outcomes
- To develop the Maths Curriculum in the Secondary sector of the school including KS3 and GCSE
- To hold management responsibility for teaching and support staff working within the subject team, creating a positive culture in which the whole department strives to succeed
- To be an enthusiastic and dynamic role-model with a passion for Maths
- To have high expectations and aspirations for all students
- To have high expectations and aspirations for staff within the Maths department
- To be accountable for student progress and attainment within the subject area and to monitor and support student progress in order to achieve excellent outcomes
- To effectively manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the department to efficiently support the delivery of the curriculum
- Liaising and working collaboratively with the SLT, other Leads, Student Support Services and parents
- To work in collaboration with the Secondary colleagues to ensure consistency and progression in Maths across the whole school

The building was part of Exeter University’s Duryard Halls of Residence for nearly 100 years before becoming a school. In 2023, Thomas Hall School joined Reach South Academy Trust.
About the Trust
Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.
